The Basic Truth
I was born and raised in the Philippines. There I attended high school and college, taking up Business Management and then graduating with an Associate Degree in Advertising. Took a short course in photography, and though I found it very interesting, I was unable to pursue it at that time. Instead, I came to California in 1985 to further my education in Los Angeles before moving to San Diego in 1993. Joining forces with Brett Shoaf shortly thereafter as an assistant photographer under Artistic Visuals, I found that a career in photography as well as videography were much to my liking, and a wonderful way to express my creativity and so both Brett Shoaf and I included videography as part of Artistic Visuals' services.
Likes and Interests
I enjoy taking photos of nature, landscapes, architecture, sunsets, and above all - people. I have a knack for putting models at ease, always quick with a joke and a smile. In addition to my studio works and wedding commitments, I often travel to many different places pursuing my interests in artistic photography- Arizona, Northern California Coastal areas and Inland that include San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Cruz ; Dallas, Chicago, New Orleans, Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah. I have also covered Vancouver and visited several European countries such as Switzerland, Germany, Austria, portions of France and Lichtenstein (the smallest country in the world). As part of a successful venture with Artistic Visuals, I have contributed an abundance of great stock images to its library of photos.
Accomplishments
Most of my work appears regularly in numerous tourism books and magazines, websites, Music CD covers, maps, calendars, postcards, coffee table books, wall display ads, and in many other types of media. Artistic Visuals has been involved in many city projects and developments. We are currently supplying stock photos and doing constant location assignment photography for SANDAG and Metropolitan Transit System (MTS). Some of my client's concert video projects have been posted in Youtube.com for their personal promotions.
